Banding 12,500 birds in the Alps

In Caset bading station, a former hunting spot, the MUSE team bands around 12.500 birds a year, with a peak of 600 a day during the busiest period. From August to end of October, the scientists and volunteers of the MUSE never stop banding birds, 24 hours a day. The data collected is used to understand the migratory behavior of birds that cross the continent.
